Job Summary

The Lead Software Engineer directs the software development team on the design, development, and implementation of software solutions to realize business needs. This position requires the demonstrated ability to translate business and technical architecture requirements into design specifications. This position reports to the Senior Application Development Manager.

You will

• Responsible for multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously that may span across multiple business units and areas of expertise
• Applies expert-level knowledge to convey project objectives, risks, and success criteria
• Designs, codes, and tests software from the ground up
• Creates, updates, and reviews new processes and established frameworks that support our enterprise architecture standards for engineering software
• Mentors and coaches junior team members
• Fosters commitment and enthusiasm from others to achieve challenging goals and objectives
• Oversees and advises on merge requests to ensure that standards are being followed
• Able to communicate technical information in a condensed manner verbally and in writing
• Assigns tasks to team members to leverage strengths or enhance knowledge
• Contribute to system and application architecture

You have

• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straightforward, and professional manner.
• Minimum of eight years of experience in software development in an Agile environment.
• At least five years of experience leading the technical effort to build software solutions in a fast-paced environment with a globally dispersed team comprised of a blend of full-time and contract developers.
• Experienced in the Microsoft development environment using C#, JavaScript, ASP.NET Core, Knockout JS, Angular, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework Core, jQuery, Ajax, Telerik Kendo, Bootstrap, and REST API experience.
• Experience with AWS technologies including Simple Storage Service (S3), Simple Queue Notification Service (SQS), Simple Notification Service (SNS), Elastic Container Service (ECS), ECS Fargate, Lambda, Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Application Load Balancers, Simple Systems Manager (SSM), CloudFront and CI/CD Pipeline Automation (Gitlab) highly desired.
• Must possess good written skills, positive attitude and initiative, high degree of analytical and interpersonal skills, and a teamwork approach. Additional experience should include how to apply development efforts to achieve business objectives and revenue goals.
• High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science preferred.
