The Position:
The Student Life Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the student life office and supporting the overall student experience. This position involves customer service, administrative responsibilities, and overall coordination to create a positive and vibrant student life office.
Major Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the student life office and Bear’s Dean, including managing student traffic, supplies, equipment, and facilities.
- Maintain a welcoming and organized office environment for students, staff, and visitors.
- Provide administrative support to student life including management of Ivy Life, approval of events submitted to Ivy Life, and assessing to make sure that post-survey questions to assess student learning are included.
- Assist the Director with budget management, purchasing, and expense tracking.
- Serve as a point of contact for student inquiries, requests, and concerns.
- Provide information and referrals to support services and resources on campus.
- Assist students with navigating university policies and procedures.
- Assist with marketing and promotion efforts for student life programs and events.
- Maintain accurate records related to student engagement including, event attendance, and program evaluations.
- Compile data and generate reports to assess the impact of student life initiatives and inform decision-making.
- Participate in meetings and committees related to student success, campus events, and community initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines governing student life activities.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in student life programs, services, and office operations

Education/Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., education, student affairs, business
administration) preferred.
● Previous experience in office management, administrative support, or student
affairs within a higher education setting.
● Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
effectively.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer
service-oriented approach.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with student organization
management systems (ie. Ivy Life).
● Ability to promote an inclusive environment that reflects the broad diversity and

● Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends for events and programs.

Starting Salary Range: $45,000/annually
Classification: E-1 (exempt)
