About the role

Job Posting

As a Branch Processor, you will play a crucial role in our mortgage lending process. You will be responsible for efficiently processing loan applications while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loan Processing:
    • Collect, review, and analyze financial and supporting documentation for loan applications.
    • Request necessary documentation from borrowers, title companies, appraisers, and other relevant parties.
    • Evaluate loan applications for completeness and accuracy, escalating complex cases as needed.
    • Review files for underwriting submission, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
    • Clear loan conditions and obtain required documentation.
    • Submit approved loan files to closing.
    • Prioritize workload to meet deadlines and ensure timely loan closings.
    • Prepare and send approval and denial letters to borrowers.
    • Maintain accurate records of loan status, including applications, approvals, denials, and cancellations.
  • Communication and Customer Service:
    • Provide exceptional customer service to borrowers, loan officers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
    • Communicate effectively with loan officers and borrowers to obtain missing documentation.
    • Coordinate with title companies, appraisers, and other vendors to ensure timely completion of tasks.
    • Respond to inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Qualifications:
    • 1+ years of related experience.
    • Demonstrated experience using Encompass360.
    • Demonstrated experience working with potential clients/borrowers in a sales environment.
    • Demonstrated experience in a customer oriented position.
    • Solid knowledge and understanding of mortgage lending processes, procedures and regulations.
    • Solid knowledge and understanding of a variety of loan programs including Conventional, FHA, USDA, VA and secondary marketing guidelines to manage complex loan level issues.
    • Solid knowledge and understanding of mortgage-related terms, such as escrow, taxes, closing documents and insurance.

Position Location: Remote - Candidates must live within the eastern time zone.
