The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is currently seeking a Software Engineer to support our Daybreak team located in Kent, Washington or El Segundo, California. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced Level Software Engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
Designs, develops, tests, and maintains non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry and customer standards.
Reviews, analyzes, and translates customer requirements into initial design of software products.
Coordinates the development, maintenance, enhancement and optimization of software products and functionalities for systems integrations.
Debugs and leads resolution of issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products.
Researches and implements current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks and changes in regulations relevant to software development.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
1+ years of experience in software engineering, with experience in cloud-native distributed systems and orchestration
Experience in Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or any other DevOps pipeline tool chain
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
Level 2: 1 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Level 3: 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with AWS, AWS Lambdas, Docker, Kubernetes
1+ years’ experience in Python/C++ programming on full stack software projects/programs
Experience developing and maintaining REST APIs and interfaces
Familiarity with practices such as test-driven development (TDD), agile software development, continuous integration, and dependency management is preferred.
