Summary of Job Duties:

The Skilled Tradesman is responsible for the work activities in the following skilled trades; Mechanical. This position is responsible for all repairs and maintenance of all farm equipment, including vehicle and all terrain vehicles. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma plus 5 years of experience or an earned certification in mechanical repairs/maintenance to row crop equipment such as tractors, combines, cotton pickers and tillage equipment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of the methods in troubleshooting and repairing row crop equipment. Ability to read repair manuals and make decisions to correctly identify and complete issues with row crop equipment engines, wiring/electronic issues, bearing replacement, and farm tillage equipment repairs. Skills in the use and care of tools and machinery used in one or more of the skilled trades.
