Coordinator - Security Systems

Position Summary

This position is responsible for managing and maintaining our security systems which include CCTV, access control, and building alarms.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• Install low voltage wiring CAT5e/CAT6/CAT6a at company locations throughout Indiana and Michigan. Installation work includes cable routing, terminating jacks/patch panels, pathway support structures (such as cable tray, racks, and j-hooks).
• Installation of IP cameras and PTP devices
• Assist with camera server management
• Issue and reclaim security badges for all employees
• Ensure proper security access is assigned to all employees
• Investigate, troubleshoot and provide a solution for all IP camera, security badge and building alarm issues
• Ensure all documentation on security systems and processes are updated timely and accurate
• Assist in managing security vendors
• Coordinate with Facilities and Real Estate and IT as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Experience with low voltage wiring
• Previous work experience in construction-based trade
• Good mechanical skills and experience with the use of construction job site tools and equipment
• Experience with IP camera installation and management

Preferred:

• BICSI training and/or similar experience

• Works under close supervision. Employee may act independently for reoccurring assignments, but supervision is readily available for unfamiliar situations or problems. 
• Major responsibilities typically require a modest amount of creativity and latitude. Employee typically operates under general instructions with some established procedures and policies
• If an error is made while in this position, it will require moderate effort to identify the error and can create a moderate impact on the company financially
