Summary
The IT Solutions Delivery Manager leads the planning and execution of major technology initiatives that support Firm-wide transformation. This role leads the delivery of solutions across a broad range of IT areas, including Unified Communications, Microsoft platforms, mobile solutions, infrastructure, marketing, financial technologies, and other core IT areas. The focus is on delivering both foundational and cutting-edge solutions that align with the organization’s strategic goals.
In this leadership role, the manager collaborates closely with executives, architects, portfolio managers, product owners, and operations to ensure each initiative fits within the broader technology vision. They guide multiple high-impact projects, ensuring strong coordination between different teams like PMO, engineering, product management, architecture, and technical operations.
The manager also oversees a team of Solution Delivery Leads and Specialists, responsible for end to end delivery of projects. This includes risk management, quality assurance, stakeholder communication, and issue resolution. The role fosters a culture of agility, innovation, and continuous improvement while bringing deep expertise in enterprise IT and program management to drive large-scale, impactful results.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership in analyzing complex business and technical challenges, translating them into clear, actionable initiatives aligned with firmwide priorities.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to develop and support compelling business cases, incorporating in-depth analysis, documented processes, and comprehensive action plans to ensure successful implementations.
- Oversee end-to-end solution delivery teams offering expert guidance, and leading seamless implementation strategies across cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with firm leadership to implement technology initiatives based on business value, operational impact, and strategic alignment.
- Leverage deep knowledge of user experience—especially within professional services and legal environments—to identify, advise, and implement user-centric solutions.
- Drive alignment between IT initiatives and business objectives by working closely with technology, operational, product, and support teams to ensure value-driven outcomes.
- Manage execution work with external technology vendors and partners, facilitating product evaluations, architecture reviews, and resolution of complex product issues.
- Proactively identify implementation risks, unknowns, and gaps—ensuring mitigation strategies are embedded early in the delivery lifecycle.
- Champion solution quality and user satisfaction, ensuring delivery excellence is prioritized over speed to maintain long-term value.
- Monitor and evaluate emerging technologies, providing insights and recommendations that support the firm’s innovation and long-term IT strategy.
- Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of pilot programs and enterprise-wide rollouts, ensuring organizational readiness and adoption.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on project governance and execution strategy, including readiness assessments, training programs, change management, and communications planning.
- Effectively communicate complex technical and business concepts to diverse audiences, including senior leadership, technical teams, and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring shared understanding and alignment.
Salaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, the relevant market, skills, experience, and education of the selected candidate. Target Salary Range
$155,000 - $170,000 if located in IllinoisQualifications
