You’ll guide leaders through culture-building, employee relations, and challenging conversations while offering training and thoughtful feedback that strengthens teams. Your creativity, curiosity, and analytical mindset will help you build strong, collaborative relationships across a diverse team united by a shared commitment to helping others live with dignity and purpose.
Key Responsibilities
You Are: able to proactively problem solve and identify risks, combine disparate data to diagnose the root cause of emergent issues, interpret and ensure adherence to laws and regulations. You stay up-to-date on how changing laws might impact how our teams perform.- You've never met a stranger. You can get to know anyone and empathize with their perspective, driving motivations, and build the strong relationships needed to effectively guide leaders.
- You're calm in a crisis. You're not easily rattled and can lower the temperature to identify a path forward while balancing the emotional stakes of leaders, managers, team members, residents, and family members.
- You're a compassionate coach. You can deliver impactful learning and education to team members regardless of their altitude and learning style. You can identify areas in need of support and deliver accordingly.
- You're a leader. You can take command and provide guidance to team members of all backgrounds, not just the team members you supervise.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration or equivalent experience
- Two years of team member relations experience
- Comprehensive understanding of labor laws and regulations, particularly in Michigan
- Strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and mediation skills
- Ability to balance the interests of multiple stakeholders and drive toward consensus
- Ability to build credibility, trust, and resilient relationships with team members of all levels
- Occasional travel for required meetings, training sessions, and other work-related events
- An advanced degree or HR certification
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification
