Position Overview

The Capital Development Board (CDB) is looking to hire a CDB Project Technician reporting to the Regional Manager of Construction.  This position will monitor the design and construction phase of capital projects for the Capital Development Board.

Essential Functions

  • Monitors the design and construction phase of capital projects for CDB.
  • Reviews Certificates of Substantial Completion Packages and Final Closeout Packages for completeness and accuracy.
  • Performs tracking and reporting functions in the Project Management System for all CDB projects.
  • Receives and processes certified payrolls including entering and analyzing data into the database to ensure compliance with Prevailing Wage and other applicable laws.
  • Assists with training new employees in the use of data inquiry system screens, mentoring new project technicians and employee orientation of new project managers.
  • Processes Architect/Engineer and Contractor Performance Evaluation Forms.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school.
  • Requires two (2) years of related office experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefers two (2) years of experience in construction related field.
  • Prefers experience in analyzing, prioritizing, evaluating and solving problems.
  • Prefers the ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with management, staff, members of government agencies and representatives of the construction community.
  • Prefers working knowledge of application software including word processing, spreadsheet and database software for office use.
  • Prefers ability to assemble a range of information and arrange in report format.
