The VP, Human Resources is responsible for planning and directing all aspects of the company’s human resources policies, objectives, and initiatives. Overall responsibility for employment, placement, orientation and training, labor relations, compensation, benefits, employee services, and organization development and leadership succession planning. Ensures company compliance with current, applicable employment laws.

What you'll do:

  • Direct the company’s Human Resource function including all aspects of Human Resources: compensation (including executive), benefits, regulatory compliance, affirmative action, education and training, leadership development/succession, talent acquisition, employee relations, payroll, HR service center, and diversity and inclusion with an emphasis on operating the function as a collaborative, consultative business partner to the organization.
  • Provide guidance and support to the organization’s senior leadership, compensation committee, 401K Investment Committee, and board of directors on matters related to achievement of the company’s overall strategic and operating objectives.
  • Provide overall department leadership in communications and dealings with other operating and functional units within the company.
  • Provide strong leadership to the Human Resources staff to ensure a high level of performance and productivity; recruit and develop talent as required.
  • Contribute to the company’s short and long-term strategic operating plan.
  • Maintain responsibility for the department-wide budgeting process and reporting.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Bachelors Degree is required in Business Administration or Human Resources or equivalent experience.
  • Successful 10–15-year minimum experience with a record of accomplishments as a senior level human resource executive preferably in the Financial Services or Insurance Industry.
  • Strong leadership managerial and supervisory skills a must, overseeing a major human resources function or group in similarly (1000+ employee) or larger size organization.

The strongest candidates for this position will also possess:

  • Masters Degree is desired.
  • A strong preference for an advanced degree MBA, MS or JD.
