Principal Associate Recruiter, Executive Recruiting - Research

Capital One’s Executive Recruiting & Onboarding team is a leading in-house search team partnering closely with the leaders of our company to identify, engage, and cultivate top talent that drives impact for our business. Executive Recruiting Associates at all levels play an essential role in the hiring of top talent into VP+ roles at Capital One. 

Successful Researchers are adept at quickly ramping up on new industries, functions, and Capital One Lines of Business, providing candidate ID and market benchmarking research support to Recruiters. Research Associates are problem-solvers who can anticipate and respond to Recruiter and Hiring Manager feedback to direct a search. Researchers will both identify talent for active searches as well as proactively and strategically engage key leadership talent of the future. 

Over time, Researchers will develop deep industry and functional expertise, building business acumen and market awareness which will position them to be thought partners not only to Recruiters but also to Hiring Managers and HRBPs across the company.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with teammates and hiring teams to build effective sourcing strategies, drive proactive market research, and drive referrals especially in areas where the talent landscape is particularly competitive 

  • Assist in creating a point of view on leaders in industries like Technology and Financial Services as well as functional areas such as Finance, Human Resources and Product Management

  • Develop deep industry expertise and business acumen by researching successful organizations and impactful leaders 

  • Drive project management and relationship building efforts by working closely with senior recruiters who will be a mentor throughout your development 

  • Collect, examine, organize and effectively share competitive information, trends across sectors, and other market research 

  • Integrate primary research, internal data, secondary sources, and marketplace intelligence in analyses to influence teammates and stakeholders

Basic Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification

  • At least 3 years of experience in recruiting OR 3 years of experience in human resources OR 3 years of client consulting experience
