Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance Assistant works to ensure that products pulled for orders and transfers at Threaded Fastener’s National Distribution Center are accurate. As the Quality Assurance Assistant, you will regularly assist the Quality Assurance Team in Quality Audits on orders prior to shipping.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect and measure parts using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring equipment.
- Count products where feasible.
- Verify that Customer instructions, packaging, and shipping requirements were followed.
- Document errors found during Quality Audits and prepare weekly Quality Audit reports.
Requirements
Education and Experience Required:
- HS Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited institution
- Forklift Certified
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Ability to read all necessary gauges.
- The ability to read a tape measure, ruler, caliper, and other measuring equipment.
- Fastener knowledge.
- Thoroughness.
- Ability to interpret drawings.
- Reading, writing and math skills are essential.
- Skills in reading blueprints, fabrication and welding.
- Computer proficiency is essential.
Physical Requirements: Qualified applicants must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Must be able to lift up-to 50 pounds 4+ hours per shift
- Must be able to work in hot, humid, and cold manufacturing environment
- Must be able to work in crowded spaces for 4+ hours per shift
- Must be able to bend and crawl for 4+ hours per shift
- Much be able to crouch, kneel and stoop for 4+ hours per shift
- Must be able to climb ladders for 4+ hours per shift
- Must be able to sit, stand and walk for 6+ hours per shift
- Must be able to perform simple grasping, push, pull, perform fine manipulation, and feel for 6+ hours per shift
- Must be able to operate foot pedals for 4+ hours per shift
- Must be able to make fine distinctions in sound, express and exchange written or spoken word, and distinguish objects and equipment visually
