Job Description Summary
Marmon Industrial Energy & Infrastructure (MIEI) Is comprised of six specialty wire, cable, and tubing solution manufacturing companies located throughout North America. We have over 100 years of innovative engineered solutions for critical, industrial, and commercial applications.

Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, the Content Developer performs a broad scope of functions and tasks supporting the marketing team's activities at Marmon IE&I.  This is an ideal opportunity to build a foundation for a career in marketing, creating on-brand video, digital, and technical content.  This role will require engagement with peers, colleagues, and organizational management.  Critical to the role is the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.  One should be able to work in a hybrid dynamic environment with the capacity to pivot focus when priorities or timelines shift.   

Position is Hybrid, 2 days remote

Essential Duties:

  • Collaborate with the marketing, product development, engineering, and sales teams to create compelling content strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Ensure brand consistency and adherence to style guidelines in all content produced.
  • Optimize content for SEO, incorporating relevant keywords and best practices to enhance organic search visibility.
  • Organize inter-departmental on-site and off-site meetings for Marmon IE&I, coordinating logistics, arrangements, reservations, and communications.
  • Acumen to acquire product knowledge through exposure while creating new content and executing updates and edits to legacy collateral in digital and hard copy.  Integrate feedback from sales and engineering.
  • Ensure proper procedures are followed to support marketing campaigns and initiatives with strict adherence to deadlines.
  • Communicate with and organize outside vendors to select, design, and procure branded items, printed material, and logistics while ensuring adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Drive KPIs through creating relevant social media content and video content creation.
  • Review, collate, and submit properly coded monthly marketing expenses with a detailed review of receipts to provide to finance.

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree with a preference for a degree in marketing, communications, digital design, or business.
  • 2-5 years of content development or marketing experience with a manufacturing organization.

Knowledge and Skills Preferred:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.  Requires average yet accurate mathematical aptitude and abilities to do routine accounting tasks.
  • Some occasional travel may be required.  (up to 10%)
  • Proficiency in various platforms, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, In-Design, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc., essential.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and a team player. Ability to work within tight deadlines and pivot focus when timelines or priorities shift.
  • Positive and pleasant personality and manner, accustomed to constant changes in priorities and workload, deadlines that must be met routinely, and the ability to interface with employees at all levels in the organization and vendors.

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work long hours in a sedentary position, sitting, talking, looking at a computer, charts/graphs, and performing repetitive motions.
  • Ability to work a hybrid workweek split between the home office and on-site.
  • Ability to move objects and materials of at least 25 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that can be noisy.
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE when onsite.
