HR Investigations Manager – Full Time

Location: Seattle, WA

Rate: $77,812.80/YR

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leadership to HR team members - may supervise 1-3 office support staff
  • Tactically involved in the recruitment process to ensure a continuous applicant pool
  • Ensure constant communication and use of referral program
  • Manage and participate in targeted recruiting initiatives by communicating regularly with the General Manager, Regional Human Resources Manager, and Client Service Managers regarding specific recruiting needs
  • Attend recruitment functions such as job fairs, career days, and other events to source candidate
  • Oversee or manage selection, on-boarding and placement process specific to all new employees
  • Oversee the on-boarding process to ensure compliance with company standards such as PEAK and background checks
  • Communicate open and in process positions to all branch staff
  • Distribute required weekly and monthly reporting
  • Ensure compliance to Whelan required training including Welcome to Whelan, Supervisor Training, CPR, and Driver required assessments, training, and checklist
  • Facilitate employee engagement by co-writing eNPS action plans and encouraging officer recognition programs such as Officer of the Month and Making a Difference Awards
  • Guarantee compliance for all state licensing requirements
  • Enforce all state training requirements
  • Support benefit communication during annual open enrollment and serve as ongoing liaison between officers and corporate office
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory or collective bargaining requirements (where applicable)
  • Process FMLA/LOA requests
  • Manage all workers' compensation claims for the branch
  • Ensure OSHA compliance and reporting for the branch
  • Complete all requests for unemployment claims for the branch
  • Responsible for creating a safety culture within the branch
  • Facilitate branch progressive disciple policies and ensure it is executed fairly and consistently
  • Respond to all Ethics & Compliance hotline alerts
  • Investigate all allegations of policy violations

Position Requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources with a minimum of 5 years of HR Generalist experience
  • Standard computer / technology skills needed
  • Must be able to provide exceptional customer service to our clients and their guests
  • Must be responsible, accountable, objective, and have a strong work ethic
  • Must have a strong grasp of appropriate and professional verbal / written communication
  • Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus
  • Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner
  • PHR Certification preferred, but not required
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to train and explain to managers the basics in employment law for better understanding and supervisory ability
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines
  • Must be highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and be able to effectively utilize all available office management technology
  • Must be professional, articulate and able to use good independent judgment and discretion
  • Must have proven ability to maintain correspondence, discussions and materials in strictest confidence.
  • Must be able to work overtime
