As part of a hardworking team technicians and engineers, you will build human rated Lunar Landers able to land on the moon In support of the MK1 and MK2 Lunar Lander Program.

 

This is a boots-on-the-ground, hands-on-hardware, assembly technician Supervisor role. This is for the tinkers, the makers, the creatives, the pioneers, the problem solvers, those who own their role as if they are going to fly on the vehicle. We are building a road to space, and a rocket that approximates the size of the Saturn V. The path is long, with challenges at every step of the way. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Setup new production work areas, including tooling and equipment.
  • Assist with transition from development to production, including first articles.
  • Perform second party verifications and hardware inspections to engineering models, drawings, specifications, and written procedures.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct malfunctions by modification, rework, repair, and/or maintenance.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurrence control.
  • Operate various material handling equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, and other ground support equipment as required.
  • Setup and operate a wide range of precision calibrated tools including, but not limited to, torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser tracker, height gauges and optical measuring instruments.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for area safety and efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance functions such as daily clean-up of work areas to support 5S, FOD, and ESD
  • Shift time Fri - Mon. 6PM-630AM, must be willing to Work off-shift, extended hours overtime, and weekends and Holidays if/when necessary.
  •  Perform other duties as assigned and adapt to changing responsibilities otherwise beneficial to fulfilling the mission and vision.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 10+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or another relevant field.
  • Interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, work instructions and test procedures.
