General Purpose and Scope of Position:   

Wilbur-Ellis is seeking an Agriculture Field Scout to help support our Salinas Valley crop research and development efforts in a variety of agriculture aspects while building partnerships among key teams in an effort to deliver relevant data and tools to those individuals who drive the relationships with our customers. This position is seasonal with the potential for full-time employment.    

Key Skills and Abilities Include: 

• College student majoring in Agriculture or a related field  

• Knowledge and/or experience with agricultural operations (preferred) 

• Intermediate level proficiency with standard software, including MS Office Suite 

• Requires excellent interpersonal skills between both customers and fellow employees   

• Dependability/reliability.  

• Good interpersonal skills 

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:  

• Complete the tasks and activities outlined by the Manager and/or Mentor   

• Conform to the normal working hours of the Wilbur-Ellis location 

• Monitor & maintain field trials, collect data, schedule field visits with cooperators etc. 

• Support the employer, keep the employer's business confidential, and work for the employer's best interest. 

• Comply with company safety standards. 

 Compensation and Benefits:

• In compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $19.33 - $25.80 per hour.  Note that wages may vary based on location, skills, and experience.  This position is eligible for vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
