What you’ll be doing:
Joining a team of engineers dedicated to implementing our zero-trust strategy:
Trusted Device AccessBuilding out the next generation of authorization platform capabilities at Cruise to ensure only trusted devices can access our apps and infrastructure
Building tools and primitives to enable other engineers at Cruise to integrate robust authentication into their applications
Creating delightful user experiences and interactions with well-integrated security tooling
Building automation to make security more accessible for end users while leveraging open source technologies and configuration management tooling
What you must have:
Strong understanding of modern software development paradigms
Expert knowledge of at least one modern programming language
Infectious enthusiasm for configuration management and automation
First principles and data-driven approach to making incremental changes
Action oriented, analytical, troubleshooter, problem solver, motivator
Bonus Points!
Contributions to community projects (open source, public research, blogging,
presentations, etc)Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP
Familiarity with network protocol internals
Experience in Authentication, Authorization, Federation, and Identity Management.
Experience with protocols such as OAuth 2.0, SAML, SCIM, and OpenID Connect.
Industry experience with projects such as Envoy or OPA, and languages such as Python or Golang
Track record of owning problems end-to-end, picking up whatever knowledge you're missing to get the job done
Able to move fast in an environment where projects are sometimes loosely defined and may have competing priorities or deadlines
Experience with other parts of security such as data loss prevention, email security, access control management, logging, and PKI
Passionate about self-driving technology and its potential impact on the world
The salary range for this position is $168,000 - $247,000. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
