Senior SQL Developer (Hybrid - Flexible Options)

BRACS is a cloud-based product that manages the compensation lifecycle for broker-dealers. BRACS manages both the back and front office operations, for example, compensation management servicing all models of institutional and retail compensation and incentive plans.</p><p></p><p>Primary Responsibilities</p><ul><li><p>Working as part of an Agile team to develop iterative delivery of product updates and releases.</p></li><li><p>Design and implement technology best practices, guidelines, and repeatable processes</p></li><li><p>Advocate a DataOps mindset, insisting on Test-Driven Development, IaC, and collaborative working</p></li><li><p>Assist the team in various phases of development and the maintenance of multiple products and systems.</p></li><li><p>Participate in peer code reviews and ensure implementation of outcomes.</p></li><li><p>Assess change impact on live systems and processes</p></li><li><p>Contribute to the next generation of products</p></li><li><p>Participate in DB engineering architecture process.</p></li><li><p>Coach and mentor less experienced members of the team.</p></li><li><p>Help shape the team’s culture, including the development of best practices within the team.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Must Have</p><ul><li><p>5+ years of lead and hands-on experience in T-SQL or PL-SQL development: implementing stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, etc.</p></li><li><p>Prior experience working in product development.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of normalization and RDMS, data integrity</p></li><li><p>Strong technical leadership skills with a proven record</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills; strong communication skills</p></li><li><p>Experience using code management tools (e.g. GIT)</p></li><li><p>Experience in creating tests; unit testing, assumption testing</p></li><li><p>Hands-on experience developing in an object-oriented language, e.g. C# / Python</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Like to Have</p><ul><li><p>Knowledge and hands-on experience in cloud architecture</p></li><li><p>Understanding development and deployment processes: CI (TeamCity/Jenkins), code review</p></li><li><p>Experience with migrations from on-prem to cloud</p></li><li><p>Experience with ETL</p></li><li><p>Financial Industry experience is a plus</p></li><li><p>Education: BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Hybrid Flexible at Broadridge:</p><p>We are made up of high-performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed.
