The Director, Strategic Alliances is a critical leadership role within Shure, responsible for shaping and scaling our strategy around high-value partnerships, primarily with strategic platform providers such as Microsoft and Zoom. This role entails driving long-term co-innovation, scalable go-to-market execution, and coordinated engagement across product, marketing, and sales teams. This leader will act as the business-facing counterpart to the Collaboration Ecosystem & Engagement Director, ensuring partner strategies are deeply embedded in corporate priorities and sales execution

 

This role can be remote, or hybrid, based in our Niles, Illinois at our HQ office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and evolve the Strategic Alliances Team to deepen partnerships with key collaboration platforms (e.g., Microsoft, Zoom). 
  • Develop and deliver joint strategic partnership proposals, business reviews, and growth plans in collaboration with internal stakeholders and alliance counterparts. 
  • Align Shure’s roadmap with evolving partner APIs, certification programs, and innovation areas (e.g., intelligent ceiling speakers, cloud architecture, MTR APIs). 
  • Drive co-sell planning and execution across global and regional field teams and partner sales organizations.

  • Develop joint sales enablement tools, messaging, and partner-ready playbooks tailored to Shure’s and partner’s go-to-market priorities.

  • Serve as the escalation point for sales teams managing strategic partner opportunities.

  • Collaborate with marketing and alliance peers to craft joint messaging aligned with Microsoft and Zoom’s brand language and solution narratives.

  • Identify and support joint campaigns, executive events, and alliance ecosystem activations to boost visibility and revenue impact.

  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships across Microsoft and Zoom (sales, marketing, product, and partner development).

  • Coordinate executive engagements, business reviews, and in-person meetings in key partner hubs (e.g., Redmond).

  • Work closely with peer roles to align technical evangelism with business development objectives.

  • Collaborate with the alliance team on planning, account coordination, and executive engagement.

  • Provide regular updates, progress reports, and partner intelligence to Executive Staff and Sales Orgs leaders.

  • Track KPIs related to partnership performance such as revenue influence, certification progress, and GTM activity

  • Performs Other Duties as assigned 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or relevant field; MBA or related graduate degree preferred.
  • 12+ years in strategic partnerships, corporate development, or GTM leadership within global tech & UC environments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and the collaboration ecosystem.
  • Proven success in managing strategic alliances with enterprise platform providers.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to influence teams across product, sales, marketing, and executive levels.

  • Experience with partner frameworks (e.g., Microsoft MYP, Co-Sell, Partner Center) and programmatic business planning.

  • Excellent executive presence, negotiation skills, and communication abilities.
