About the Position:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Agency Application Architect to join the Office of Information Services in Augusta, Maine. In this role, your primary responsibility will be supporting existing and new applications for Corporations, Elections and Commissions (CEC).  You will work closely with the business and stakeholders to define and document change requests and translate the requirements into effective technical solutions.  You will also work with the development team to design, test and debug CEC applications.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide mentoring and technical guidance to development staff on secure coding, testing, and architecture best practices.
  • Participate in collaborative design discussions.
  • Work with IS team to apply security analysis tools to identify and resolve vulnerabilities in source code.
  • Implement and maintain unit, regression, functional, and secure code testing frameworks.
  • Assist development teams with integrating testing tools into their workflow and propose test updates to reflect ongoing changes.
  • Collaborate with Software Configuration Management to align build scripts and test protocols.
  • Meet regularly with business and stakeholders to gather and document requirements for technical solutions.
