Why M Physicians?
Participates as a team member on the Rapid Response team utilizing Basic EMT & Paramedic skills and following medically approved protocols within the CSC. Helps maintain Rapid Response Team equipment. Other duties as assigned by Manager.
What you will do as an EMT - Paramedic:
In the event of a rapid response call, conduct initial assessment of the condition of the patient and determine the necessary course of action utilizing an approved patient care protocol.
- Provide basic life support and operate within their license with the state of Minnesota under the medical direction of the CSC Medical Director and the protocols approved by the medical director.
- Appropriately triage patient to receive support and remain in the CSC for their scheduled appointment or contact 911 and hand off patient to advanced level of care for transport to ED.
- Maintain high level of knowledge and competency in protocols and attend trainings and case reviews as warranted. Train others across UMP in rapid assessment and triage of clinic patients.
- Check equipment and maintain cleanliness of equipment used by the rapid response team. Restocks any and all used equipment.
- Respond immediately when paged for a rapid response or if observes a patient in distress.
- Documents assessment, triage decision, and patient care within EPIC; maintains HIPAA. Documents RRT in Q drive spreadsheet for quality control and data collection at the end of each shift.
This is a part-time role
What you will need:
- Licensed as a Paramedic in State of Minnesota
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum of one year active EMT-P experience
- Ability to lift 25 lbs
