Job Summary

In this role, you'll be at the heart of Colorado College’s student employment programs, driving the effective use of fiscal and human resources. You'll lead the student employment program, ensuring compliance and supporting approximately 1,000 student employees, making a tangible impact on their campus experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the answering of correspondence (emails, phone calls, and appointments) related to hiring, supervising, and terminating student workers; foster and maintain working relationships with employers of student employees. First point of contact for student employee supervisors. Conduct supervisor changes.
  • Approve hiring activities (job descriptions, posts) and create and maintain student job records in the campus-wide Banner software and monitor compliance with institutional timesheet policies. Serve as the main E-Verify administrator for the CC Financial Aid Office and submit E-Verify reviews for all student employees in a timely manner to the Department of Homeland Security. Complete I-9 maintenance throughout the year, while aiding international student employees to include the use of Verifent.
  • Administer the state and federal work study programs, ensuring full utilization by monitoring community service usage, completing utilization reports, and reconciling funds in advance of audits and FISAP requests. Ensure timely payment of wages due to student employees and troubleshoot payroll or timesheet problems.
  • Collaboratively develop and maintain program policies/processes that guard the College’s compliance with relevant labor and immigration laws as well as maintain relevant documentation. Serve as project manager for student employment projects, including system implementation/maintenance. Maintain the webpage.
  • Directly support the student employees serving as Student Employment Assistants. Ensure efficient client service by cross-training the financial aid administrative assistant.
  • Ensure timely payment of wages due to student employees and troubleshoot payroll or timesheet problems.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 3 years of experience in a related field

One year of relevant work experience may be substituted for one year of required education (OR) one year of relevant academic coursework beyond the minimum requirement may be substituted for one year of required professional experience.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:

  • $56,485 to $67,337 per year
