About the role

Description

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology, neuro-oncology translational research laboratory is seeking a scientist with expertise in large-data analysis and biostatistics to develop genotype-phenotype correlation models for dormant, proliferating and migrating tumor cells. The lab uses a novel microwell and microchannel assay platform that has the potential to interrogate thousands of single cell cancer cells at a time, being able to generate high-throughput imaging data to "read out" responses to a full range of cancer therapies. The platform is being developed for high-throughput cancer discovery screens.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in physics, computer science, biomedical engineering or closely related disciplines and have completed 2-3 years of postdoctoral training. Successful candidates will have expertise in large-data analysis and biostatistics to develop genotype-phenotype correlation models for dormant, proliferating and migrating tumor cells.
