What You Will Do:
Guidehouse is seeking a Data Analytics Consultant to join our team supporting a high-visibility engagement with the Navy, focused on advancing audit readiness and strengthening internal controls under the OMB Circular A-123 Program. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about using data to drive accountability, transparency, and operational improvement within federal financial environments. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will help the Navy leverage data analytics to assess and enhance internal control effectiveness, identify and mitigate financial risks, and support audit sustainment efforts. You will work closely with Navy stakeholders to transform complex financial and operational data into actionable insights, enabling informed decision-making and continuous improvement. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a mission-critical program that directly supports the Navy’s financial integrity and readiness posture.
What You Will Need:
An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
TWO (2) years of experience in data analytics, preferably supporting federal financial management or audit readiness.
Understanding of internal controls, audit processes, and federal financial reporting requirements.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Familiarity with Navy ERP (SAP-based system), including modules related to financial reporting, procurement, and asset management.
Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik for developing dashboards and visualizations tailored to Navy audit and control metrics.
Experience with SQL, Python, or R for data extraction, transformation, and analysis from Navy systems or data warehouses.
Exposure to Navy Data Lake, ADVANA, or other DoD enterprise analytics platforms.
Understanding of OMB Circular A-123, FISCAM, and GAO Green Book standards.
Understanding of internal controls, audit processes, and federal financial reporting requirements.
