WORK HOURS Monday – Friday, 7am – 3pm 

Seasonal team members work 8-hour shifts for 40 hours per week. Shift times may vary, and extra hours may be added to your schedule to ensure we fulfill our commitments to customers.

This is a Seasonal position until mid-June with potential to convert to a full-time regular position based on attendance, productivity and availability of positions.

Peak Season (January - June) Requirements

• Mandatory overtime may include some Saturdays and Sundays.

Varsity Spirit, A Varsity Achievement Brand, is looking to hire a Seasonal Machine Operator. You will be responsible for printing digital signatures on a digital press for the Key Yearbook Program.  As a member of the Yearbook Production Team, you will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment printing high school and college yearbooks to help our customers celebrate some of their greatest achievements. While you’ll lean heavily on your technical abilities, your greatest asset will be your drive and commitment to quality and safety. We live and work in a team environment and rely heavily on each other to assist across a variety of functions and on various machines.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

• Maintain good working relationship with lead person and fellow workers
• Communicate with all employees including other shifts
• Maintain clean and organized work environment
• Assists in other areas as work backlogs dictate
• Practice policies regarding safety and personnel/benefit issues
• Assist in meeting work quota
• Additional duties and tasks may be assigned to fulfill assignments or complete work in the Cover Plant/Digital Bindery

You will be trained on a variety of bindery equipment until you feel comfortable running by yourself.

• Operate and maintain multiple pieces of equipment.
• Complete scheduled maintenance on operating presses during shift.
• Assure proofs match printed sheets from the press.
• Meet daily production quotas.
• Adherent to all safety protocols.
• Check for quality. • Print PDF files.
• Scan out jobs through YBS and sign-out sheet.
• Create and print variable data jobs.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or General Education (GED)
