Warehouse Shift Lead

As the P10 Foods Warehouse Shift Lead, you will be an integral part of our dynamic warehouse operations team, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our facility during your shift. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will play a pivotal role in picking, packing and shipping orders while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment for our employees and overseeing closing procedures to secure the warehouse for the next day's operations.

POSITION: Warehouse Shift Lead

REPORTS TO: Warehouse Manager

STATUS: Full - Time 

SCHEDULE: Sunday to Thursday

DIRECT REPORTS: 1 to 2 employees per shift

COMPENSATION: $19/hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Warehouse Manager in ensuring that all warehouse organization, safety protocols and guidelines are strictly adhered to.
• Pick, pack and ship orders accurately and efficiently with your warehouse team
• Verify that shipments are correctly received, processed, and stored before securing the facility.
• Update inventory records as needed and report discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
• Train new team members on safety procedures, warehouse organization, and closing protocols.
• Ensure all warehouse areas, including storage spaces, aisles, and common areas, are kept clean, orderly, and hazard-free.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and accountability.
• Collaborate closely with the Warehouse Manager to communicate any maintenance or repair needs.
• Maintain adequate cleaning supplies and equipment and ensure their proper use.
• Oversee and participate in the closing procedures of the warehouse, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a warehouse.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.
• Familiarity with warehouse closing procedures and security protocols.
• Ability to lead and supervise a team effectively.
• Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs and moving your whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, pushing, pulling and handling various materials.
• The warehouse manager may work in uncomfortably hot or cold environments, in uncomfortable and cramped positions, or on ladders.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with various teams.

ABOUT OUR COMPANY

King of Pops started as a single pop pushcart on a street corner in Atlanta and developed into a regional retail, catering, and wholesale business selling millions of pops (plus tons of other local products) each year.

P10 Foods was born out of the need to get our pops into grocery stores, corner markets, parks, and restaurants. Since we had space on our trucks, we thought we'd invite our other friends in the food business to join our new specialty food distribution company.

We now distribute more than 175 best-in-class Southern brands in the region and count everyone from Whole Foods to Stone Mountain Park to The Four Seasons Hotel as customers.
