The Finance Analyst role for Alstom Signaling Operations will support overall Finance needs primarily within the Freight & Products business unit to include:

Industrial Controlling Support

            Overhead Costs and Recoveries

            Direct Labor Utilization  

            Workload Planning / S&OP Alignment

            Fixed Asset Accounting

            Audit Support

            Forecasting and Budgeting

            Internal Control Compliance

Manufacturing Controlling Support

            Product Costing

            Inventory Reporting

            Excess & Obsolete Inventory Analysis

            Product Coefficient Accounting

            Industrial Variances / PPV Analysis

            Forecasting and Budgeting

Order, Sales, and Margin Support

            Sales trends / analysis

            Gross Margin analysis

            Forecasting & Budgeting

            Product/Product Line Profitability

This role will be based in Grain Valley, MO and will follow a hybrid onsite/remote work schedule.  The role will require frequent interaction not only with other finance team members, but also other colleagues in other departments or sites. 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

Minimum of 5 years work experience in a related role 

Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

Strong analytical skills with particular emphasis on variance analysis

Familiarity with basic finance organizational principles (cost centers, profit centers, WBS elements, etc.)

Role model for ethical professionalism

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

Experience with SAP/GSI

Ability to work with large data sets

Standard Cost

BOM Analysis

Full cost recovery (Absorption)

Experience in manufacturing environment

Experience in technology/electronics environment

Experience working across teams/departments

Experience in large, global organizations with matrix reporting structure
