POSITION SUMMARY

 

As a Building Maintenance Technician, you will maintain the sanitation and aesthetic level of the entire factory, including the exterior building, building grounds, and supporting all plant needs by completing general building maintenance tasks.  You will be involved general production equipment maintenance/repair as required to support plant operations and your career development into an operations maintenance crew (processing, packing, batching, unloading, slurry (BUS), facilities, or electromechanical).  All work must meet all quality and safety requirements when performing job duties. 

 

This role is exempt from the mandatory maintenance progression. If there is a desire for progression, you can apply for a Maintenance technical position as they become available.

 

• Maintain the sanitation and aesthetic level of the entire factory and support plant needs by completing general building maintenance tasks
• Use Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for creating and managing work orders, managing work center, and monitoring preventive maintenance status, looking up parts and equipment history, and understanding storeroom management

• Meet general repair operations for plant needs such as moving furniture, painting, minor plumbing, minor electrical, repairing walls and floors, and fabrication/installation of plant all Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities
• Complete special projects including but not limited to designing, welding, and installing guards, assisting with Safety, QA and all other relevant plant inspections and corrective actions
• Perform general building maintenance tasks and provide support to Facilities Maintenance 
• Train and mentor new developmental building maintenance technicians on roles and responsibilities
• Manage inventory levels of supplies not carried by the storeroom.
• All other activities and duties per the direction of a Manager, Team lead, Line Lead

 

Requirements

• Education:  High school diploma or GED equivalent 
• Experience (Years/Type):  1+ year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military, or related environment OR a 2-year technical degree 

 

The hourly pay for this position is $30.00 an hour for Building Maintenance Technician. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
