Position SummaryThe UNM Occupational Therapy Graduate Program at the University of New Mexico anticipates hiring temporary part time adjunct faculty to teach courses or problem based learning in the Summer 2026, Fall 2026, Spring 2027. Anticipated openings potentially include the following subject areas among others:
- Problem based learning in orthopedic, neurological or pediatric occupational therapy
- Leadership and advocacy in occupational therapy
- Community occupational therapy
- Neurological and orthopedics occupational therapy
- Evidence based practice
- Psychosocial occupational therapy
- Research in occupational therapy
- Positions are contingent upon each semester as determined by current course offerings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Entry Level Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in New Mexico by start date
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with university level teaching
- Master’s degree in occupational therapy or a related field
- Teaching or clinical experience in needed content areas
- Experience with problem based learning
- A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities
