The Associate Director of Finance (ADF) plays a critical leadership role within the School of Nursing’s Office of Business and Finance. This position is responsible for ensuring the efficient, accurate, and timely execution of key financial operations, including payroll, purchasing, and reimbursements. The ADF will manage office staff and collaborate closely with academic faculty, administrative leaders, and research personnel to support the School’s financial and operational goals.Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the ADF will assist with school-wide budget development, financial reporting, and overall financial management. This includes analyzing monthly financial data, identifying variances, and projecting year-end balances to support strategic decision-making.

Job Responsibilities
- Overseeing day-to-day financial operations in alignment with Penn’s financial cycles and deadlines.
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as University and School policies.
- Implementing and maintaining financial controls and quality assurance measures.
- Standardizing financial processes and reporting tools to meet institutional requirements.
- Managing and mentoring office staff responsible for processing and recording financial transactions.
- Collaborating with department administrators to ensure optimal use of financial resources.
