JOB SUMMARY
The Information Security Awareness Associate will be responsible for the development, review, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s information security awareness program. He or she will ultimately reduce risk throughout the organization by ensuring employees know and understand Information Security’s policies, as well as behave with a security mindset.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops an effective Security Awareness Program
· Identifies top human risks to the organization and the behaviors that must change to mitigate those risks
· Develops, reviews, implements, and maintains a security awareness program to mitigate human risks, the program shall include a roadmap
· Creates and manages a metrics framework that effectively measures employee compliance with information security policies
· Establishes an understanding of employee awareness around the organization
· Works with relevant business units to meet regulatory and compliance standards
Manages and Leads Security Awareness Campaigns
· Creates and manages effective awareness training, communications, and marketing
· Targets campaigns to specific segments of the employee population
· Ensures employees and third parties understand, acknowledge, and fulfill all applicable information security policies
· Encourages employees to move beyond compliance of policies and toward adopting a security mindset
· Encourages employee engagement with security broadly
Reviews and Iterates Security Awareness Campaigns
· Ensures security awareness trainings, communications, and marketing are engaging and influences changes in employees’ behavior
· Assesses effectiveness of each major campaign using a metrics framework and incorporates employee feedback
· Iterates and continuously improves upon existing awareness campaigns as appropriate
· Perform technical and/or administrative tasks to ensure functionality and efficiency of the IT ecosystem.
· Collaborate with other IT professionals (including remote ones) to maintain the department’s standards, functionality, and performance.
· Ensure Customer Satisfaction with the utilization and results of the established processes and procedures.
· Maintain positive relations with all employees and seek suggestions/ways of improving compliance of IT processes and systems
· Participate in process, procedure, and systems continuous improvement, identify creative ways to reduce costs by streamlining them, and assure they are efficient and not redundant.
· Participate in project activities and ensure timely project delivery. Organize own work effectively and efficiently.
