GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Sr. Learning Solutions Designer is responsible for designing and developing innovative and engaging learning experiences that align with organizational goals and enhance employee performance. Architects comprehensive solutions across a variety of subject domains (e.g., onboarding, management & leadership skills, functional knowledge, advanced skills) that support employees and leaders as they orient to the organization, build core role proficiency, and advance their careers. Creates skills assessments, program evaluations and sustainment plans associated with learning solutions and user experiences. Requires excellent instructional design and development skills, strong needs analysis skills, and a high level of comfort working collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Regularly researches and participates in forums to remain current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, making use of existing internal and external resources to remain informed and up to date.
This role requires solid Communication skills and the ability to effectively explain and illustrate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborates with L&D team, subject matter experts and stakeholders to perform analysis of learning needs, objectives and performance gaps.
- Conducts experience research to understand users' needs, behaviors, and motivations. This can include interviews, surveys, usability testing, and other methods.
- Creates illustrative proposals, prototypes and concept maps to articulate solutions and experiences.
- Designs and develops effective and interactive digital instructional materials, including e-learning modules, videos, simulations and job aids, using instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
- Designs and develops virtual and in-person facilitated learning experiences including course delivery, practice labs and coaching sessions.
- Implements varied learning and development methods such as scenario-based learning, gamification and microlearning to enhance learner engagement and knowledge retention.
- Creates skills assessments, program evaluations and sustainment plans associated with learning solutions and employee experiences.
- Redesigns existing learning programs to ensure content, brand standards and use of technology is relevant and current.
- Ensures that the learning solution incorporates industry best practices and that it is accessible to learners with different abilities and learning preferences.
- Consults with internal teams including HROps and IT to integrate learning solutions into existing platforms and systems to ensure a feasible end user experience.
- Adheres to and recommends improvements to processes and standards for quality assurance, including instructional design review and ensure that learning content meets organizational standards for accuracy, clarity, and relevance.
- Applies project management skills and tools to drive learning design projects from initiation to delivery, including proactively monitoring and mitigating risk to prevent timeline and scope creep.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- BS or BA degree in related field required (i.e. Business, HR, OD, L&D, Education)
- Proven experience (5+ years) designing and developing Learning & Development solutions and experiences, preferably in a corporate or organizational setting.
- Proficient in using instructional design and development software, e-learning authoring, and other multi- media tools such as Articulate Rise, Storyline, Vyond, Credspark Plus or similar.
