POSITION SUMMARY
The Dietitian for Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehabilitation provides nutritional consultation to patients in the Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehab program and beyond through continued assessment, development, and implementation of comprehensive nutrition education for cardiac patients in individualized and/or group settings. The Dietitian works as the subject matter expert for the Pritikin program nutrition content. Monitors performance of nutrition care plan through evidence based nutrition practice guidelines, instructional methods and tools. Provides nutrition education and counseling to patients and families.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Licensure/Certification:
Registered Dietitian, licensed as required by the state in which practicing required.
Completion of Pritikin ICR Remote Training program preferred (can provide training upon hire).
Knowledge:
Extensive and complete knowledge of the Pritikin ICR nutrition and culinary educational content; up-to-date knowledge of current nutrition trends and fads, food products, and food safety/precautions preferred
Previous experience with cardiac or pulmonary rehab patients preferred.
