Engineer Level I – Reliability, Availability, Maintainability (RAM) Analysis

- Produce Reliability Block Diagrams (RBDs) to evaluate Reliability, Availability, Maintainability (RAM) performance of shipboard systems.

Responsibilities:
- Apply engineering principles and data analysis to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate systems, policies, support systems, and management as related to RAM.
- Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
- Contribute to the development of Navy and commercial specifications in relation to RAM development, requirements, and management.
- Implementation of Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) processes in accordance with MIL-STD-3034.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant security requirements and maintain eligibility for a final U.S. Government security clearance.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Degree: BS degree in a field of Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of post-graduate marine, power, or manufacturing plant technical experience.
- Must be able to attain NAVSEA certifications in Classic and Backfit RCM (per the MIL-STD-3034 (RCM) Process).
- Security Requirements: Must be eligible to possess a final U.S. Government security clearance.
- Experience with Navy and commercial ship Design Specifications and maintenance management.
- Experience or fluency with reading and comprehending engineering drawings, technical manuals, and other technical documentation for RAM analysis.
- Fluency in relevant maintenance and reliability engineering tools (i.e., Reliability Block Diagrams, Fault Tree Analysis, Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis).
- Passion for enhancing naval operations through innovative RAM practices.
- This position is primarily remote with occasional travel to the Washington Navy Yard or CACI Chantilly office.
