Responsibilities and duties: “What you will do in the role day to day”

As a UI Animator, you will play a crucial role in shaping how collectors interact with our digital products, bringing motion to life and enhancing engagement through animation. You’ll collaborate with product designers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to craft dynamic, human, and interactive experiences that elevate our platform.

Your work will focus on turning Figma designs into rich, interactive animations, implementing engaging micro-interactions, and ensuring seamless handover and integration with engineering teams. You will also contribute to our design system, helping establish and refine motion design principles that create consistency and delight across all our products.

 

As a UI Animator at Fanatics Live & Collect, You Will:

• Develop high-quality UI animations, micro-interactions, and transitions that enhance user engagement across web and mobile applications.
• Leverage Rive to create dynamic, interactive experiences that elevate our product’s motion design language.
• Work closely with product designers to translate static Figma designs into interactive, fluid animations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure smooth implementation, providing detailed specs and working through technical constraints.
• Define and evolve motion design principles as part of our broader design system, ensuring consistency across all Fanatics Live & Collect products.
• Prototype animations to visualize interactions, user flows, and dynamic UI components.
• Advocate for motion as a key component of user experience, helping establish best practices and guidelines for animation use.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, bringing innovative ideas and emerging animation techniques into our design process.

You’ll need to show us that 

• You are proficient in Rive & Figma (Lottie, and Adobe After Effects is a plus), with a strong understanding of how motion enhances user experience.
• You have a solid foundation in UX/UI design principles and an ability to craft animations that align with usability best practices.
• You have experience working within design systems, contributing to motion guidelines and reusable assets.
• You are comfortable working cross-functionally, partnering with designers, engineers, and product managers to bring animations to life.
• You are detail-oriented, ensuring pixel-perfect execution and seamless integration of animations.
• You have a passion for storytelling through motion and can articulate how animation enhances user interaction.
• You are proactive, independent, and eager to push the boundaries of motion design within digital experiences.
