The State of Wisconsin DCF is looking for One (1) Certified Project Manager III

Top Skills:

• Thorough understanding of industry standard project management methodologies and reporting (12+years) including PMP (or similar industry standard) Certification

• Strong customer service and relationship management experience

• Experience managing multiple in-flight business intelligence/data warehousing and application development projects simultaneously.

• Project documentation skills and experience to support project chartering, scoping, and other project deliverables.

 

Thorough understanding of industry standard project management methodologies and reporting (12+years)

Development of Project Artifacts (plan, charter, status reports, etc.) (12+ years)

Experience managing multiple in-flight business intelligence/data warehousing and application development projects (10+ years)

 

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• Candidate must be available to perform all work during the Central Standard Time (CST) business hours 9:00 am – 3 pm (or CST hours as defined by the hiring manager)

However, position status is subject to change. (90% remote 10% onsite as needed) Onsite work is not likely, but candidate should be prepared to come onsite if required.

 

Project details: The project manager will work with other project managers in DCF and possibly with other State of WI Departments such as the Department of Administration (DOA) and the Department of Health Services (DHS). The person in this role will lead the business intelligence and software/ application development team members to complete projects and work closely with our business partners to ensure its success.

 

The DCF Child Care Child Welfare section is looking for a results oriented and adaptable individual with a ‘can do attitude’ to lead business intelligence projects, legacy, and modernized software/application development projects for our business partners. This project manager will lead multiple projects from small to multi-million-dollar development efforts. The project manager will work with other project managers in DCF and possibly with other State of WI

Departments such as the Department of Administration (DOA) and the Department of Health

Services (DHS). The person in this role will lead the business intelligence and software/ application development team members to complete projects and work closely with our business partners to ensure its success.

The individual in this position will:

• Be responsible for technical and overall project management on enterprise-wide

business intelligence, software/application development, and infrastructure/ architecture

projects.

• Works closely with the project sponsor and IT senior management to understand and

prioritize project tasks. Solves complex technical problems. Understands business

objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs feasibility studies and

cost/benefit analysis of alternatives in support of enterprise-wide business intelligence.

• Builds an effective team and directs the work of the project team to meet project

milestones. Develops standards, policies and procedures for the form, structure and

attributes of the business intelligence documentation, tools, and systems. Develops

data/information quality metrics.

• Develop and maintain project charters, plans, deliverables, and other project artifacts.

• Work closely with the project sponsor and IT senior management to understand and

prioritize project tasks, solve complex technical problems, understand business

objectives and problems, identify alternative solutions, and perform feasibility studies

and cost/benefit analysis.

• Research new technology and develops business cases to support enterprise-wide

business intelligence solutions. Participate in special projects as required.
