Senior IT Quality Assurance Specialist

We're looking for an experienced Senior Quality Assurance (QA) IT Specialist to join our team and support a critical project for one of our clients. In this role, you will be key in ensuring the quality, reliability, and smooth operation of IT systems and software during a business carve-out.

As part of this carve-out, you will oversee the IT separation process from a QA perspective, ensuring that the transition is seamless and that all systems maintain the highest standards of performance and integrity.

• IT QA Oversight During Carve-out: Oversee the migration of IT systems with a focus on meeting GAMP5 standards. Aim to avoid unnecessary revalidations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements without overextending resources. 
• Interim IT QA Leadership: Serve as the acting IT QA leader during the transition period, managing IT QA responsibilities until the permanent Head of IT and Head of QA are hired (without involvement in the recruitment process).
• Risk Assessment & Strategic Guidance: Provide risk assessments and clearly communicate potential impacts of skipping certain activities (e.g., validations) to senior management, ensuring informed decision-making.
• Process Development & Documentation: Establish internal QA IT processes and adapt existing SOPs from the parent company to fit the new organization’s needs.
• System Migration Oversight: Supervise the migration of key systems (e.g., SharePoint, M3, C Vision, Platina, Tracelink, SCADA) from a QA IT perspective, without being directly involved in the technical migration.
• 100% Remote Role: This is a full-time, remote assignment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of IT Quality Assurance experience: Proven track record in QA within the IT industry.
• Expertise in test development: Skilled in creating and executing test cases, plans, and strategies.
• Experience with automation tools: Proficient in automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Solid understanding of SDLC & Agile: Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication & teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail: Sharp analytical skills and a focus on precision.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus
