Machine Shop Environment Assistant

The Machine Shop Environment Assistant is responsible for the cleanliness of the Machine shop. These responsibilities include removing trash and recyclable materials, Sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning up spills and emptying the plastic collection containers. Removing debris from around the outside of the building and parking lot.

Requirements

• Dedicated, reliable, hard working.
• Able to operate pallet jacks and hydraulic trash bin lifts.
• Able to identify Safety Hazards and correct them.
• Perform regular cleaning duties, including sweeping, dusting, mopping.
• Empty trash receptacles and plastic collection bins.
• Maintain all outdoor areas. 
• Ensure that the machine shop is clean and free of hazards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• General maintenance experience.
• Ability to operate hand tools and cleaning equipment.
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Good eye-hand coordination.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing: Essential job function/physical requirement.
• Walking: Essential job function/physical requirement.
• Turning, twisting, bending, and stooping: Job function/physical requirement.
• Pushing and pulling: Job function/physical requirement.
• Reaching, forward and overhead: Job function/physical requirement.
• Lifting: Employees must lift 25 pounds and Occasionally 50-75 pounds “with assistance”

Monday Friday
6:00am-2:30pm
10:00am-6:30pm
