Assistant General Manager 

Location: Libertyville, IL (Chicago North Suburbs)
Schedule: Full-time, including weekdays and one weekend shift per week
Compensation: $45,000–$55,000, including performance bonuses + PTO + benefits

We are looking for a mission-driven Assistant General Manager to help lead our team, support families, and grow our membership community.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Center Operations & Leadership

• Support the General Manager in daily operations, scheduling, and center performance.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and brand consistency across the facility.
• Oversee front desk operations including check-in, parent inquiries, and transactions.
• Hands-on coaching 5–10 classes weekly using KidStrong’s curriculum.
• Assist in hiring, training, and evaluating coaching staff.

Sales & Community Engagement

• Drive lead follow-up, trial conversion, and membership sales.
• Engage families and create memorable, high-value experiences
• Build lasting relationships with families that keep them coming back
• Support scheduling and promotion of camps, events, and parties.
• Represent KidStrong at community events to increase awareness and inquiries.

Culture & Relationships

• Model KidStrong values in every interaction—with coaches, kids, and parents.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high energy.
• Provide clear, consistent communication to staff and leadership.

Requirements

• Passion for children’s development and energetic environments.
• Leadership or supervisory experience in retail, fitness, or kids’ services preferred.
• Strong sales and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Physically able to participate in active play with kids.
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
  
  

Preferred: Experience in child development, boutique fitness, or franchise operations.
