About the role

Job Description Summary

Performs advanced technical system tasks related to setting up, maintaining, and managing user security access roles, controls, and permissions for the Credit Union's data and applications. Monitors system updates to user accounts and performs routine audits to ensure users are setup and removed in a timely manner as well as ensuring proper access roles are maintained. Provides guidance and support to the User Access Administrators, including solving more complex problems and resolving issues that arise with systems and applications access controls. Performs backup support to the Identity Access Management (IAM) Engineer managing the Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform(s).

Senior User Access Administrator is distinguished from User Access Administrator by the responsibility for performing more complex system and user administration tasks which requires more detailed knowledge of the applications and system administration. Provides advanced technical support escalation for issues that arise both during business hours and outside of normal business hours.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs oversight to the User Access Administrators for troubleshooting helpdesk tickets, processing user access requests, ensuring integrity/accuracy of identity data and responds in a timely manner when requiring access to be removed using identity management tools and software.

  • Performs back-up and assists with system administration for the Identity Access Management platform(s), including Single Sign-On (SSO), Governance, management of vendor relationships, working with business owners and custodians on application configurations, testing and implementation.

  • Responsible for generating daily audit reports and conducting research to oversee the day-to-day operations.

  • Reviews system generated security reports to validate parameters and audit user access changes.

  • Administers onboarding for new applications, setting up users, testing, and collaborating with business owners for implementation.

  • Acts as a lead for responding to and providing evidence for audit and regulatory requests.

  • Ensures accuracy and maintains documentation of position templates and reports for user access rights and permissions across systems, applications, and databases; conducts periodic audits to verify access rights are granted and removed in a timely manner.

  • Responsible for working with business owners to test applications and system releases, updates, and fixes; reports test results and performs security systems and applications upgrades after testing for new releases is complete.

  • Evaluates new applications to ensure appropriate user access guidelines and procedures are established.

  • Responsible for managing documents by verifying accuracy and completeness, conducting research, scanning, and filing documents, and retrieving and releasing records.

  • Sets up, maintains, and administers user accounts, access roles and permissions to applications, databases and network services in test, training, and production environments; provides additional access roles, permissions, and VPN access with management approval; removes users from all applicable systems upon notice of termination of employment.

  • Responds to helpdesk tickets, including, but not limited to; systems access, applications, databases, and USB devices; troubleshoots and diagnoses problems using multiple resources; takes appropriate action to resolve problems.

  • Creates and maintains updated procedures for all administered applications and systems.

  • Completes all required training programs to maintain a current knowledge applicable to assigned duties and responsibilities, including regulatory compliance requirements.
