Description
The Facilities leader will hold a key role in the operations team by overseeing all matters related to the compliance, maintenance, record-keeping, and liabilities of the site, the building, the materials, and the equipment/tools within. This individual will manage all Facility projects, tool installation and facilitization, process improvements, and utilities – such as water, chemical, gases, and environmental health and safety matters.
Responsibilities
- Manage facility equipment, waste neutralization area, chemical and gas distribution, UPW/DI water, and clean room integrity
- Oversee vendor/contractor-related fab projects, ensuring procedural compliance, budget adherence, and escalation when required
- Maintain regulatory and safety compliance with local, county, and state entities and officials
- Maintain accurate, proactive, and collective record-keeping with senior leadership and necessary external personnel
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Have a high level of accuracy, understanding, and confidence in duties; must be able to move quickly, have agility and flexibility in changing priorities as needed
- Must be able to complete tasks with limited supervision, be proactive, and assist in driving the business forward
- Attention to detail is critical for this position, all while having resiliency in a start-up environment
- Strong personnel management: ability to lead, influence, motivate, and manage change
- Knowledge of codes and standards relating to facility chemical and water distribution systems
- OSHA and HAZMAT experience
- Management of various Facilities mechanical and chemical Systems, e.g. UPW/DI water, wastewater, neutralization, water reclamation, process cooling water, chillers, cooling tower, boiler, HVAC, air compressors, vacuum pumps, gas systems and life safety systems
- Awareness and some knowledge with federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations relating to air, water, solid waste, and hazardous waste management
- Experience with specialty gas delivery systems and chemical process and delivery systems
- Experience with the audit processes, incident investigations, root cause analysis, hazard & risk awareness, incentives, and driving employee accountability
- Strong optimization and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience required
- Additional certifications, courses, and degrees are a plus
- 10+ years of Facilities related experience, 5+ years in a leadership role
- Management of various facility functions and/or departments
- Previous experience managing relationships with local and federal officials
