Wheel Vehicle Field Services Representative (FSR)

Potential Locations: Warren, MI; Fort Bragg, NC & Fort Campbell, KY
Purpose: The Wheel Vehicle FSR is responsible for the full range of light wheel equipment maintenance repairs. Works as part of a team; possible deployment may be required to other sites to perform inspections and repairs on a variety of wheeled vehicles to include the Infantry Squad Vehicles (ISV). This position will conduct Total Package Fielding (TPF) activities both CONUS and OCONUS, perform New Equipment/Field Level Maintenance Training, and remote maintenance to fault isolate and diagnose technical issues to fielded vehicles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains close coordination with the Government to ensure responsive support.
- Maintains awareness of all operations, projected workload, inspection results, training, Government requests, guidance, and all issues related to safety, environmental and personnel.
- Responsible for the individual training of supported customers as necessary through teaching, coaching, and mentoring philosophy.
- Advises mechanics of proper operation and maintenance of equipment, trains diagnostic techniques and fault isolation procedures using diagnostic tools and technology to advance their skills.
- Monitors operation and production at job site and ensures that proper maintenance and safety procedures are followed.
- Performs under stressful conditions and meets short suspense dates.
- May be required to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Expected to be a quality champion by promoting, teaching, and presenting quality as a means for product improvement and efficiency and in accordance with applicable Army Regulations and Technical Manuals.
- Will be required to travel domestically as well as overseas as needed.
- Ensures strict compliance to safety practices and support the Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Instills a safety-first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries.
- Adheres to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of Quality Management System.
- Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- Must be trained on and have at least 9 years of experience as a vehicle mechanic
- Must have the ability to analyze and interpret U.S. Army Technical Manuals with relation to vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
- Requires experience with GCSS-Army.
- Requires knowledge in equipment repair or equivalent experience, thorough knowledge of field services, equipment operation, diagnostic tools, and maintenance.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams.
- Knowledge of US military regulations and OEM requirements, including OSHA, ANSI regulations standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- U.S. Army 91B MOS Training or ASE certified T2-T6 mechanic
- Experience working on Infantry Squad Vehicles (ISV)
- Prior experience training and instructing maintenance in a Military environment.
- Deployed as a Maintenance provider in OCONUS locations.
- Must have or be able to obtain a valid US Passport.
- Will be required to attend and successfully complete the Government’s Train-the-Trainer program
- Must be able to meet all installation, access and security requirements.
