Position Summary 

We are seeking a highly capable Security Operations Center (SOC) Supervisor to oversee 24/7 SOC operations within a fast-growing, publicly traded techbio environment of approximately 2,000 employees.

This role is responsible for supervising daily SOC activities, ensuring effective monitoring and response to security events, and providing technical oversight of critical physical security systems—including access control platforms, CCTV systems, alarm systems, and laboratory-related emergency systems.

The SOC Supervisor plays a key leadership role in maintaining operational readiness, ensuring compliance, and coordinating response efforts to protect employees, facilities, intellectual property, and research environments.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Supervise daily SOC operations, including alarm monitoring, dispatch, incident response, mass communications and escalation activities.

  • Lead, coach, and develop SOC Specialists to ensure consistent performance and adherence to procedures.

  • Ensure 24/7 coverage and operational continuity, including scheduling and shift oversight.

  • Serve as the escalation point for complex or high-impact security events.

  • Provide hands-on technical oversight of access control systems, CCTV platforms, intrusion detection systems, and alarm monitoring software.

  • Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with vendors or internal IT teams for resolution.

  • Oversee badge access provisioning controls and ensure alignment with HR and compliance requirements.

  • Validate camera placement, retention practices, and system health to ensure investigative readiness.

  • Coordinate response to laboratory-related emergencies, including environmental alarms, critical equipment alerts, and life safety system activations.

  • Partner with EHS, Facilities, and lab operations teams during critical incidents.

  • Ensure proper escalation protocols for hazardous material incidents, power disruptions, and facility emergencies.

  • Participate in emergency preparedness planning, drills, and after-action reviews.

  • Oversee incident documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting.

  • Review and approve incident reports and ensure appropriate follow-up actions.

  • Identify trends and recommend risk mitigation strategies.

  • Maintain evidence integrity and proper chain-of-custody procedures when required.

  • Support the SOC Sr. Investigator in critical investigations, ensuring accuracy and follow-through.

  • Ensure SOC operations align with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.

  • Assist in developing and updating SOC SOPs, playbooks, and response protocols.

  • Monitor KPIs and service-level metrics to drive operational excellence.

  • Support internal and external audits related to physical security systems and controls.

Required Qualifications 

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • 5–8+ years of experience in corporate security, physical security operations, or a security operations center (SOC) environment.

  • 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience, with demonstrated ability to guide and develop team members.

  • Experience responding to facility, laboratory, or operational emergencies.

  • Strong working knowledge of access control systems, CCTV platforms, and alarm monitoring technologies.

  • Proficiency with incident reporting systems and standard business tools such as Microsoft Office or equivalent software.
