Sr. Financial Analyst, Originations Revenue

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for the reporting, analysis and reconciliation of Originations revenue.  This role will report to the VP of Origination Finance and work closely with business unit leaders on providing analytical support.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Maintain and enhance existing processes surrounding the reporting and reconciliation of Originations revenue

• Partner with capital markets to ensure consistency/accuracy of data

• Partner with Accounting to ensure core systems reconcile to the general ledger and record non-system-generated entries at month end

• Design and automate reports that are sent to executive leadership daily providing key insights and analysis leveraging an in-depth understanding of key business drivers

• Partner with DTC and B2B FP&A teams to update forecasts and daily/weekly estimates based on recent trends and upcoming expectations in order to keep a pulse on performance as the month unfolds

• Analyze other Origination operational and/or financial data to make actionable recommendations on improving the pipeline efficiency, productivity, and/or aging of loans

• Evaluate daily business processes (e.g. lock cancellation) and proactively identify opportunities to improve guidelines and increase business

• Create additional analyses and reports as requested by management

• Support annual budgeting and monthly forecasting as necessary

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or related field

• 6+ years’ related work experience (financial services, banking and/or mortgage)

• Will consider the equivalent combination of job experience & education

• Proficient with MS SQL Server or equivalent SQL language to perform data mining, data manipulation, and reconciliation required

• Knowledge of SAS/SAAS data mining and manipulation is a plus.

• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Power Point, etc) required

• Proficiency in reporting tools, such as Power BI / Tableau is a plus

• Proficiency with TM1, Hyperion, Essbase, and other planning tools is a plus

TRAVEL/OTHER:

• Dallas/Fort Worth area preferred.  While MrC remains home centric and this role will primarily work from home (WFH), there may be times (up to 1-2 times per month) where you may be expected to come into the office to collaborate.
