Job Responsibilities:

 

The Oracle Applications Database Administrator is responsible for maintaining and improving the health of the Oracle Application and Database for optimal performance.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  1. Evaluating architectural requirement, proposing solutions on upgrade/installation and configuration for multi node, high availability, clustered EBS finance application & database;
  2. Perform ongoing database administration, maintenance, performance, installation, upgrades, backup and recovery of Oracle EBS 11i application & 10g,11g,12c or 19c databases, where required;
  3. Design, build, and maintain internal cloud applications for the organization, work on cloudformation, ansible, and terraform to build infrastructure as code for deployment of containerization, Kubernetes and pipeline to automate CI/CD process using tools like Jenkins, Azure dev ops and Gitlab;
  4. Manage AWS services using automated scripts, work on git, CI/CD pipeline and yaml scripting for service deployment on AWS, management of S3 buckets, Cloudformation, EC2 machines, databases, SNS, and AWS lambda services;
  5. Optimize AWS platform management service, building policies, standards, network and infra to handle connectivity within cloud infrastructure and perform architectural consultation whenever required;
  6. Engage in performance tuning of several accounting & technical modules of E-Business suite Finance (EBS) & database during month end critical activities to avoid business disruptions;
  7. Ensure continued high customer satisfaction and review and help application developers to correct SQL Code for performance improvement; and
  8. Manage the offshore Database Administration (DBA) team provided by external partners and ensure effective flow of communication between the DBA team, customers and management (this responsibility includes overseeing, leading, assisting, and coordinating the database activities but does not include supervision and personnel authority over other team members).

 

Job Requirements:

 

Employer requires candidate to have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Business/Commerce, Finance, or a closely related field. (Employer is willing to accept three years of post-secondary education in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Business/Commerce, Finance, or a closely related field in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Business/Commerce, Finance, or a closely related field.)

 

Candidate must have at least seven years of work experience as systems analyst, database architect, technical architect, or a closely related occupation working independently on Oracle Applications E-business Suite 11i and R12 Development/QA/UAT and critical Production environments for installations, upgrade, migration, advanced configurations including Real Application Clusters, Integrated SOA gateway, Oracle Application Express (Apex), Real Application Testing, PCP, Enterprise Manager Cloud control, Dataguard, OID, Golden Gate, and PostgreSQL database administration.

 

Candidate must also have the following:

 

  1. Demonstrated ability implementing and leading projects including EBS 11i/R12/R12.2 upgrade and migrations, database upgradation (9i/10g/11g/12c/19c) and migration (platform/single- RAC), RAC configuration, RAC node addition/deletion, 12c OEM configuration, DR configuration, and Drill gained through seven years of work experience;
  2. Demonstrated knowledge of performance tuning of several accounting and technical modules including AP, AR, GL, FND, AD, TXK, PO, Sub-ledger accounting of E-Business suite Finance (EBS) and database during month end critical activities gained through seven years of work experience;
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of automating health check process to proactively monitor EBS and database services; setting up important alert and notifications; and reviewing database time model, physical and logical IO, CPU statistics, wait events, operating system statist
