MISSION / SUMMARY:
Reporting to the VP., Information Technology, the Director, IT Digital Operations & Integrations is responsible for maintaining GPI’s digital presence and Integration platform as part of global technology infrastructure. The role includes an operational aspect to ensure 24x7 availability of GPI’s digital presence as well as responsible for defining the strategic direction for integrations, application development and digital presence.
Maintaining a high availability environment supporting GPI’s digital presence is a critical responsibility of this role.
JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provides senior leadership for all supporting functions of the Digital operations and Integrations including development and support, including solution delivery/SDLC, incident and problem management, strategic planning, and human capital management.
- Accountable for application development for corporate applications from concept to production, including end to end solution design, build, test and deployment for scope of applications in the portfolio and assigned programs/projects.
- Accountable for budget management for the workstream.
- Serves as the key technical executive partnering with business and IT stakeholders to ensure overall health (strategic viability, operability currency, scalability and performance) of the business applications in the portfolio.
- Serves as an IT liaison for business function leaders to ensure common business objectives, awareness, provide IT expertise and bridge gaps as needed. Build technology business cases with focus on value, cost/benefit return, prioritization.
- Monitoring, assessment, prioritization, and demand forecasting of all facets of the workstreams.
- Oversee EDI development and management team supporting EDI mapping and data exchanges between Company and third-party entities.
- Modernization and rationalization of the legacy applications and development tools.
- Standardize on the tools and technology used to provide GPI globally with a holistic platform for code development, CI/CD and code repository suite.
- Oversee management and support of GPI’s Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) middleware platform to ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability to support growing business needs and ensure integrity between communicating systems.
- Lead the team providing technical support in the diagnostic and restoration of IT services relating to digital operations & middleware.
- Ensure GPI’s Change Management procedures maintain compliance.
- Develop roadmaps for technologies in scope with an overarching principle of migrating workloads to the cloud.
- Evolve a cross functional DevOps strategy working with IT Infrastructure teams enabling automation towards building a next-gen platform .
- Identify areas of process improvement to improve service performance, stability, and costs.
- Collaborate with engineering and service management teams to ensure operational acceptance of all new services and technology following ITIL methodologies.
- Adhere to Global Application development Operations Standards, Policies and Procedures.
