We’re Hiring Medical Technologists!
Join our dynamic laboratory team and make a real impact in healthcare. We have openings for Medical Technologist I and II roles, where you’ll perform essential diagnostic testing on human samples, ensure quality and compliance, and contribute to patient care.
As a Medical Technologist I, you’ll handle waived, moderate, and high-complexity testing while maintaining safety standards and continuing your professional growth.
As a Medical Technologist II, you’ll take your expertise further—validating new tests and equipment, mentoring team members, and driving excellence in laboratory operations.

Required Education and Experience
Medical Technologist I
Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR Associate’s degree with Medical Laboratory Technician certification
Medical Technologist II
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
3 years of general medical laboratory experience with bachelor’s degree OR 5 years with associate’s degree
Required Licenses and Certifications
Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP), Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP or AMT), or Medical Technologist (AMT)
Certification must be maintained for continued employment
Preferred Qualifications
Phlebotomy certification
Basic Life Support certification
Familiarity with CAP (College of American Pathologists) regulations
Experience in a clinical or hospital laboratory setting
Demonstrated ability to maintain professional certifications
Familiarity with equipment and testing performed in the UHS Laboratory
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Strong time management and prioritization skills
Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
Knowledge of laboratory equipment, instruments, and testing procedures
Ability to accurately perform waived, moderate, and high complexity testing
Familiarity with safety, infection control, and bloodborne pathogen guidelines
Ability to interpret and follow CAP regulations and laboratory compliance standards
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Basic computing skills and ability to use EMR system
