Summary

The employee will coordinate the new product integration process from order acceptance through product delivery, focusing on engineering issues, but also concerning themselves with all aspects of sales, quality, delivery, and production required for the order.


Essential Duties, Responsibilities

· Coordinate new product integration process from order acceptance through product delivery

• Perform initial review of incoming jobs for missing drawings/specifications/documents/models/etc.

• Review incoming jobs to ensure material purchasing requirements are accurate and coordinate with purchasing department for procurement of necessary material and other items for new jobs.

• Develop manufacturing plan that meets all product requirements 

• Review outside services and special processes prior to and after job planning to ensure appropriate process flow.

• Lead, manage, and coordinate planning meetings as necessary for timely completion of new jobs

• Optimize work sequencing and workflow through machines/work centers.

• Provide project updates/status to management team as required.

• Work with Quality Department and Production team to resolve technical issues prior to, during, and after the manufacturing process

• Work with Account Managers and customers to resolve questions/concerns regarding customer requirements, missing information, etc.

• Provide feedback to Account Management team regarding cost impacts associated with new job planning

• Review customer and industry specifications to determine necessary process and quality requirements.

• Work with Engineering leadership team manage Engineering resources for the timely and accurate completion of the complete manufacturing/planning process

• Updates documents, files and other Acutec systems as necessary, including drawings, work instructions, and routing information.


Key Roles

· Review incoming jobs (first time order) to ensure material purchasing requirements are complete and accurate.  Resolve concerns with outside service requirements.

· Work with Acutec personnel (engineering, production, etc.) to develop manufacturing plans and address challenges with new jobs. Work with Account Managers and customers to resolve questions/concerns regarding -01 jobs.

· Add job stamps, port notes, & thread notes to print and add print to Sentryfile.

· Complete planning related tickets as assigned via Engineering Ticket system.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Prior experience in a manufacturing environment and understanding of quality systems, preferably in aircraft manufacturing, is required. A Bachelors’ Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field, or equivalent experience, is recommended. Computer aided drafting (CAD), Microsoft Project and Office literacy, strong computer skills, prior experience with customer resource management systems, and a strong mechanical aptitude is preferred.

The employee must possess the ability to communicate effectively with all internal personnel and external customers in both written and oral form.
