Location Overview
Cboe HQ is located in the historic Old Post Office district in Chicago, it’s a landmark that blends classic architecture with modern amenities. The building features expansive spaces with high ceilings and large windows, offering an abundance of natural light and panoramic views of the city skyline and the Chicago River.
With its prime location in the heart of downtown, the OPO Building provides easy access to major transportation hubs, including Union Station and multiple CTA lines, making it convenient for commuters. In this role, you'll be responsible for:
Cboe Clearing US is actively seeking a dedicated and highly motivated team-oriented person to fill the role of QA Manager supporting our Clearing platform and their system functionality. As a manager of software engineering for this testing team, you’ll work with the development and business teams to prioritize, schedule, and staff projects to execute on our vision. You’ll be a hands-on technical leader and contribute to tools and automated tests. You’ll help manage our CI/CD deployment pipeline and infrastructure as well as our status reporting and dashboards. This role is a critical component of our engineering and automated testing process providing enhancement of Cboe’s superior technology and ensuring industry leading performance.
Ideal Candidate Has:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or other related field or equivalent experience.
- At least 7 years of QA experience is required, with recent and demonstrable experience creating automated test cases, and coding and enhancing test frameworks.
- Experience with Cucumber BDD framework.
- Experience with Selenium or other UI automation tools.
- Python development or scripting experience or a working knowledge of another scripting or programming language and a willingness to learn Python.
- Strong experience in object-oriented design and programming techniques.
- Understanding database platforms such as: PostgreSQL (preferred), MySQL, or Oracle, and document DB like MongoDB. A working knowledge of SQL is necessary.
- Experience with Unix/Linux hardware/software engineering environments and applicable Unix/shell scripting.
- Experience with version control tools such as Git (preferred), Subversion, or other version control tools.
- Experience working in a continuous integration environment and with tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo.
- Experience with the Atlassian tool set is a plus.
The successful candidate will have excellent analytical skills, an exacting attention to detail, and an ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively within a cross-functional team environment.
