Job Description:

PayPal, Inc. seeks Software Engineer 3 in San Jose, CA

Job Duties: Design, develop and deploy software using understanding of MVC/MVP software design, especially using technologies like React, NodeJS, Angular, and Vue. Apply testing concepts and best practices on testing using Playwright or Selenium Web driver or any UI automation frameworks. Create mockups and bring to life using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SASS, LESS, Invision, or Sketch. Work on projects with source control/version or package management. Communicate to relevant parties the relationship between how back end affects front-end experiences more than just performance. Work on a team following Agile sprints that are customer oriented. Partial telecommuting may be permitted from within a commutable distance.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Special Skill Requirements:

1. Experience designing and developing software applications using React, NodeJS, Angular, or Vue (1 year)

2. Experience with testing automation using Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, or other UI automation frameworks (1 year)

3. Experience creating and translating mockups into fully functional applications using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SASS, LESS, Invision, or Sketch (1 year)

4. Experience with source control/version management and package management systems like Git (1 year)

5. Experience working in Agile development methodologies, collaborating in Agile sprints (1 year)

6. Experience developing and maintaining Progressive Web Apps (PWA) using TypeScript and React (1 year)

7. Experience configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools for build, testing, and deployment automation (1 year)

8. Experience designing and implementing backend microservices using NodeJS and Express, ensuring smooth communication with frontend systems (1 year)

9. Experience applying MVC/MVP design patterns to software development projects (1 year)

Salary: $172,931.00-234,300.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
